My Mess Ups

These were a few of my mess ups. To much noise and to much light. Afterwards I turned off the one light that was messing with the photo, it helped greatly. I also realized that placing it on my shiny counter.

Light Series

For the series I decided to do it on light drawing. The first six are me setting the timer on my camera then standing in the dark making shapes. After awhile i saw these see threw blue , red, and clear glasses. I placed the same light i used for the light drawing behind and some inside. I also filled it with water to get a distorted kind of effect. Some of my photos were really blury of kind of noisy, so I messed around with the aperture and it fixed it up. I also darkened the levels so the light would pop out more and less light from the background if there happened to be any. I tried putting food coloring in a clear cup and putting near a white background but the fish tank me and denelle broke would have worked better. I liked the work of a guy by the name Michael Marciano. I also toyed with this topic at the beginning of the year. The surreal dreams I have.

If I were to go to bed this is probably one of the many things you would see in my dreams. I took eyes and a mouth from a different picture and placed them on the back of his head.

Surrealism

For my surrealism project I want to make it all renaissance like. I am going to have my friend hold one of these big gnarly swords and hopefully get fire and mountains. I would like to put him on the mountain and make it look like he is standing on a volcano. I was thinking of making fire explode from the sword.

Random Picture

I had these swords and stand in my basement and took this picture hoping it would turn out cool. Trying to make it blurred I didn’t think it would look like this. I don’t really know I just think it is cool enjoy, I guess.

Failed Attempts

These are some of the failed photos I took before hand. Sorry it is in a different post. I was trying to set up people to see where to angle the camera and how high or low to have it. I was also playing around with the lights. As you can see in some the shadows were way to big of a factor and just covered their faces.

Tripod

My parents wanted to have achristmas card to send to the relatives, but they didn’t want to go through the trouble of going to Sears or some other place. I told them I would play around with the tripod and lighting we had and shot a good old family photo near the fire place. Some problems I had were with the lighting, all I had to work with was a light above the fire place and a light above my camera on the ceiling fan. I tried a bunch of things and got what you see above. My brother kept moving so we had to do it over and over, I hadn’t plaid around with the timer since you let me borrow this camera. It was a good experience and was pretty fun.

Festival of Trees

This week my brother had to perform at the cda resort for the festival of trees. This event is sponsored so that money will be given to cancer patients at the kootenai medical center. Schools perform in the choir and others in the marimba categories. Different schools in the district make trees with a theme and they come with lots of gifts and treats. Mostly rich people come and bid on them so that they can help people with cancer. They have snacks, performances, and other games for kids. Also there were other drawings for prizes.

Avedon

Sorry that they aren’t black and white. I don’t have any sort of photoshop or anything at my house, but these are the avedon pics I started to work on. I will touch them up and make them to avedons finest on monday.

Secret Photography

This week I thought I would take some photos of what really happens in schools. In Mr.Lakes English class I took some pictures that people didn’t know I was taking of them. Volnerable moments. I think overall it was a good thing to try out I got some cool shots of the real expressions that people show.
